Betsy Lang is a returning member of the LiteracyCNY team. Originally hired on a temporary basis in March 2008, she became the permanent Office Manager in August of that year, managing day-to-day operations supervising office and event volunteers, and serving as the first point of contact for students, tutors, and the greater Syracuse community. She now serves as Operations Director for LiteracyCNY.

Born in Schenectady, Betsy has called Baldwinsville home for 35 years, where she raised four adult sons, now spread between San Francisco, Boston, and Switzerland. She lives with her husband, Tim, and 14-year-old cat Fiona, who is interested in no one but Betsy. Betsy is a founding member of her book club, now in its thirteenth year, and is an avid quilter. She enjoys time outside, whether gardening or spending time on the shores of Lake Ontario at Fair Haven Beach.

As LiteracyCNY programs resume, Betsy is excited to have more contact with volunteers and students.
